In his latest episode of What If The Fascist Was Right All Along, Donald Trump hosted a roundtable on “targeting Antifa” — because what better way to look tough than declaring war on a loosely defined group of people who are, literally, anti-fascist?
The event was your usual MAGA fever dream: flags, fear, and unhinged paranoia dressed up as national security policy.
Trump opened by accusing the “sick” media of supporting Antifa—because obviously CNN is a covert Antifa cell and Anderson Cooper is one bad hair day away from throwing a Molotov.
“They’re not protesters. They’re terrorists,” Trump said, with all the subtlety of a baseball bat to the Constitution.
Antifa: Still Not an Organization, Still Being Treated Like Al-Qaeda
For those playing catch-up, Antifa isn’t some international shadow cartel. It’s not funded by George Soros’ secret riot slush fund.
It’s not a group — it’s an ideology. As in: people who oppose fascism.
You know, like… Allied soldiers in WWII. That used to be considered a good thing.
But Trump and his allies don’t care. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem claimed Antifa was as sophisticated as ISIS and Hezbollah, then suggested the U.S. government could go after them like they do with drug cartels (aka: murder, invade, and call it freedom.) because cracking down on fascism is the real threat.
Then came Attorney General Pam Bondi, who declared that federal law enforcement would be deployed to “eliminate” Antifa. Yes, eliminate. Because nothing says “freedom-loving constitutional republic” like threatening mass crackdowns on ideological opponents.
For those fortunate souls who don’t follow politics, this is what Kristi Noem meant when she mentioned the drug cartels to justify her dreams of ideological inquisition: Trump’s military recently killed 11 civilians in a strike off Venezuela’s coast, claiming they were drug traffickers. No previous trial, no identification, no respect for international law.
But oddly, he isn’t launching drone strikes on Colombia, which actually produces most of the world’s cocaine.
Maybe it’s got something to do with Venezuela having the largest oil reserves on Earth. Just a wild guess. Not saying. Just saying.
Protesters = Terrorists, Billionaires = Patriots
Trump has made it crystal clear: protests are illegal unless you’re waving his flag.
If you’re out in the street for racial justice, labor rights, or opposing apartheid — congratulations, you’re Antifa now, and possibly a terrorist.
His administration’s rhetoric is so soaked in authoritarianism it might as well be broadcasting from Hungary.
- Free press? Fake news.
- Public dissent? National security threat.
- Anti-fascism? Extremism.
Meanwhile, actual fascist-adjacent militias walk around with guns and Bibles, racist psychos wearing masks are forcefully detaining legal US citizens for looking foreigners and nobody bats an eye.
It’s only terrorism when the targets are white and powerful. Funny how that works.
